Community Service

Theta Tau Omega Gamma Chapter proudly participates in many non- profit community service opportunities.

  • Relay for Life
    • Theta Tau raises money all year for Relay For Life at FIU to donate to the American Cancer Society.
    • In 2017, Theta Tau raised the most money coming in first place out of all teams at FIU with raising over $10,000 for Relay For Life.
    • In 2019, Theta Tau won the award for Relay For Life, raising the most money the day of the event.
  • Habitat For Humanity
    • As a non- profit organization, Theta Tau participates in building and improving houses for those in need since 2010.
    • Habitat for Humanity is a few days during spring break where Theta Tau students around the region come together to help build houses.
  • Project Downtown
    • Project Downtown has given away more than 1,300,000 fresh meals
    • Theta Tau actively participates in Project Downtown Miami to give out food to feed the less fortunate.
  • Engineers on Wheels
    • Theta Tau participates in EOW, which provides students with hands-on activities and engineering experiments while exposing them to career opportunities in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
    • Theta Tau has taught middle school age students how to use FLORA devices and how to incorporate it into a fabric to create their very own wearable tech device.
    • Taught middle school students how to create ice cream in a bag using exothermic reactions by incorporating ice, salt, milk, and flavoring.
